LeVar Burton gets @ReadingRainbow twitter account for upcoming RRkidz iPad app

As a child I still remember thinking of Reading Rainbow quite highly as my favorite block of television programming. Well, to the joy of thousands — if not millions out there — its host, LeVar Burton (a.k.a. Lieutenant La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation), has been on a mission to revive the canceled show elsewhere, so far only announcing RRKidz as an iPad app (soon to be released). But he recently ran into a snag when he discovered the corresponding Twitter handle “@ReadingRainbow” was already taken, and was being sat on by a squatter for some 3 years without as much as a single tweet. Well, thanks to the help of nearly 1,000 ReTweets and Twitter themselves catching wind of this, he was victorious. — More after the break!

When Paul Christoforo unknowingly opened Pandora’s box in the shape of internet rage and viral campaigns against him, I don’t truly believe that he thought it was going to do any permanent damage to his persona, either professional or personall IRL.
