Motorola to use Microsoft's Bing and Maps on Chinese Android devices

When Google threatened to pull out of China Motorola decided that they needed to look elsewhere, especially if they wished to continue bringing Android handsets to market. Partnering with Microsoft, Motorola announced today that Google maps and Search shall be no more (at least on their Chinese devices). As an ulterior means the company has opted to use Microsoft’s Bing and maps as the default aggregators. Starting in the first quarter of the year, Motorola described their partnership as “global” -- meaning there’s a potential that this could affect thousands, if not millions, of devices worldwide.
Could this partnership mean that a Windows Phone 7 Series device is in the works? Your guess is as good as mine.
