App of the Week: Pano

There are many times we are out on vacation and we want to take a picture of everything around us. Thanks to the iPhone and the Pano app, anyone can create a beautiful panoramic photograph in minutes. The app is simple and straight to the point of what is trying to be accomplished. I have been using it for months and today I will giving a full review on the app.
The Pano app is simple because it's like using the normal camera mode. Simply launch the application and begin shooting. After you take the first picture, 1/3 of the screen will overlap so you can find where you need to line up your next picture. After taking 6 photos (or less) the app will automatically merge the photos into a panorama. This might take anywhere from 1 – 5 minutes depending on the complexity of the panorama.
Here is an example using Pano:

Overall the quality is excellent, especially from a cell phone. There are some things I really like about the app but also something things i absolutely hate.
Here is a complete list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- Simple application to make panoramas at an affordable price
- Merges and corrects exposure fairly well.
- Uses a third of a picture for stitching, less photos to complete your panorama.
Cons:
- Can only take up to 6 photos to merge.
- One set resolution
- No button to take another panorama. Must exit & re-enter app.
- If the app crashes, then you loose everything.
