How to: Make Favicon Bookmarks in Google Chrome

You'd be surprised how many people who use Google Chrome don't know they can use bookmarks. I've talked to a number of people who weren't aware of it, and didn't even try hard enough to search the browser's limited dropdown's to find the bookmark option.

So I thought I'd take a quick second to show everyone on how to make bookmarks super simple in Google Chrome. We're going to be creating a minimalistic favicon toolbar. What's a favicon? Well, it's the icon that shows up in the address bar that represents whatever site you're on - it's a logo if you will. We're going to be constructing an entire bookmark toolbar from each of these individual icons.

    1. Go to a site you want to bookmark.

    2. See the star next to the address bar? Click it

    3. You'll see a box come up. Delete the text in the name box and then click close.

    4. Wow, that looks nice! Arrange your icons by drag/drop and enjoy!
