Arizona Man Sues his Neighbor for Half a Million for owning an iPhone
Chernobyl happened almost 25 years ago, and it messed up a lot of people - One man in Santa Fe, Arizona is feeling those effects... well sorta. Arthur Firstenberg is complaining of electric magnetic fields that his neighbor's iPhone apparently is giving off in his direction. The device has taken over his life, ruining his health and leaving him sleep deprived, he suggests. He's asked his neighbor to turn the phone off, but I'm guessing she's got really important tweets and phone calls to monitor that it just would be annoyance to her.
He's suing her for a total of $500,000 for his pain and suffering, among other things. Arthur is also part of a coalition against Wi-Fi being set up in the city of Santa Fe as he, and a few other people, swear that they are allergic to electromagnetic fields. I've never heard of this condition before but the dude was studying to be a doctor before technology crippled him, leaving him with headaches and such, so I'm guessing he wants people to believe him and not question his credibility since he went to med school.
Mr. Firstenberg is trying to make city officials recognize his pain, but what he really should be doing is asking for a cure, or for at least a study. This technology is not going away anytime soon, and it'll only be further advanced as the years go by. He requests that the government make safe zones where people with his condition can group together and hide from the dangers of electricity in the air. [TheRegister]
