iPhone Clear for iPhone is the first task-management app that could actually work - Video
I have used many task management apps in the past in hopes of saving time and staying on task. They did the opposite of what they were supposed to do. They distracted me and I eventually lost interest — even Apple’s Reminders App has the same shortcomings — they are all designed like other apps, when they actually need to be weightless. Clear (designed by RealMac Software) is the first task-management app that I can see myself actually using… to manage tasks.

Gaming,
Videos So uhhh, Final Fantasy Theatrhythm actually looks like it might be a fantastic game -- (Video)
When word got out that Final Fantasy was getting its own music game unanimously everyone just sort went “meh…”. But after seeing the latest gameplay trailer my opinion has been thoroughly changed. Think of the it as more of a celebration of Final Fantasy’s 25th anniversary with a special edition of the series’ entire soundtrack, with the addition that it’s all playable, and even given pretty awesome looking art and visuals to boot.
Nintendo launching Wii U in late 2012, might get a name change

Nintendo’s 2011 E3 reveal of the Wii U was anything but impressive. Aside from the “real-time” gameplay of Zelda Wii U (read as: PR talk), there seriously was nothing to get excited about the Big N’s next console. It was definitely a huge contrast to the type of reaction the Wii first originally got, with wait times to try out the thing no where near the 6 hours people sacrificed to first demo the Wii. Well, Nintendo is hoping to shed off some of those bad memories and it’s optimisitic about its future, despite a continuous plunge in overall sales. Satoru Iwata, the company’s CEO and President, announced earlier yesterday that the Wii U is set to hit retailers sometimes in late 2012. Oh, and there’s talk of it getting a new name. — More after the break!
XePort 7010-9 in-ear headphones review

More often than not, a brand name is one of the main factors that compel a buyer to purchase a product. In order to have a well recognized brand name, a lot of marketing and endorsement are required. That extra cost for marketing then goes into the final price you pay for the product. Why am I saying all this? Today, we’ll be taking a look at headphones from a little known company called XePort (pronounced Z-Port). The 7010 headphones cost $20 but you might be surprised by our conclusions. — Our full review after the break!

Videos Bill Gates talks philanthropy as well as his relationship with Steve Jobs -- (Video)
(The Steve Jobs talk starts around the 3:30 mark, fyi.)
Oh, and if you’re looking for that infographic on Bill Gates being better than Batman — here it is. And things couldn’t be more true, as while Batman goes night in and night out to protect the lives of Gotham City, the Gates family has directly and indirectly saved the lives of almost 8 total million people. Yeah, the dude is better than Batman, and that’s not something we just say without consequence.
Netflix halts plans and will NOT be going into the game rental market

Oh, Qwikster, how shortlived was your existence? Were you but a mere speck of dust in the stream of this infinite universe’s everflowing hourglass that you were concieved and then forgotten? Life has moved on without you and not a single tear was shed. Not even the wind carries your tattered remains because you were not properly realized, as you were just a silly idea born from the fantasies of a few men’s heads who wish they could bend reality to their will. However, they surely learned from their mistakes, and though you will not be missed Qwikster, your absurd identity will always be remembered. td;lr Netflix will not be renting games. — More after the break!

World Thorium could solve Earth's energy problems -- (TED talk video)
Kirk Sorensen is an advocate and speaker for the use and research towards Thorium, a natural, nuclear fuel that could be used to replace Uranium. What’s so special about it? Well, how about that it’s cheaper, more plentiful, and also hundreds of times more efficient than what we’re using today. The original concept was directed on a far-off lunar community base, but Kirk reworked the plan to be imagined here on Earth. Imagine, a football field of Thorium could energize the entire world for a whole year. This is the stuff of sci-fi novels happening right now, here in our time.
